We don’t fix children. We don’t diagnose them. We create a space where they can discover
who they truly are – beneath the roles, expectations, and pressures while having a lot of fun
and adventure too.
The Foundation: Nothing meaningful happens without safety. Before a child can explore their emotions, name their fears, or share their truth, they must know they won’t be judged, shamed, corrected, or performing for adult approval.
— Trust isn’t given, it’s earned through consistency, presence, and unconditional witnessing.
The Foundation: We don’t diagnose, label, or pathologize. We help children understand their inner world through curiosity.

The Foundation: Emotions aren’t just thoughts, they live in the body. Trauma, stress, and unexpressed feelings show up as tension, shutdown, or hyperactivity. We use somatic (body-based) practices because the body remembers what the mind forgets.
The Foundation: Away from screens, schedules, and performance pressure, nature creates the conditions for authentic self-discovery. The mountains don’t ask children to achieve. The rivers don’t grade their progress. The forests simply hold space.
— In nature, children remember they’re part of something larger, and paradoxically, that’s when they discover who they truly are.

The Foundation: We meet children where they are developmentally (Erik Erikson’s stages), honoring their unique timeline. Growth happens when readiness meets safe space and not through force, correction, or quick fixes.
The Foundation: Change doesn’t happen through instruction, it happens through relationship. When children feel truly seen and heard, they naturally unfold. Not because we fixed them, but because we witnessed them.
— We don’t teach children to be different. We create space for them to become more fully themselves.

Every Young SoulTales program is built on established research in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and trauma-informed practices.
Our programs nurture age-appropriate psychosocial tasks, supporting trust, autonomy, initiative, industry, and identity development.
We create safe, empowering environments that honor stress and trauma through choice, collaboration, and emotional safety.
We integrate thinking and feeling systems, balancing reactive and reflective processes to build regulation and self-understanding.
Nature-based experiences reduce stress, improve focus, support regulation, and foster reflective, emotionally balanced growth.
— We’re honest about what we are, and what we’re not..
Our retreats don’t follow rigid schedules. Each day flows with intention:
Gentle wake-up, movement/breathwork, nourishing breakfast
Sharing circles, somatic practices, unstructured time
Journaling, quiet time, rest
Nature immersion or creative expression (art, drama, journaling)
