A summer camp for 6-11 year olds ready for adventure, creativity, and the
kind of confidence that comes from being truly seen.
A summer camp for 6-11 year olds ready for adventure, creativity, and the kind of confidence that comes from being truly seen.
This March and April, 25 children will run through open fields, create art with their hands,
learn to name what they’re feeling, and come home with stories they’ll tell for years.
Roots & Wings isn’t a skills camp. Or a conventional camp. It’s a place where your child gets to just be – curious, messy, brave – without the pressure to perform.
March 25-28 2026 | Kamshet, Pune | ₹19,500
Four days of adventure, creativity, emotional growth, and fearless self-expression.
Run, climb, and explore the Sahyadri hills - open fields, trails, fresh air.
Campfire circles every evening - stories, songs, real conversations
Express through drama & movement - bodies remember what words can't say
Create without rules - clay, paint, nature collages, no right answers
Learn to name big feelings - not through lectures, but through games and drama
Build their own "Confidence Toolkit" - a journal + card deck they keep forever
Sleep under stars and wake up to birdsong

Going Outward Adventures in nature - exploring, moving, playing, getting wonderfully tired.

Going Inward Creative workshops, movement sessions, art projects - processing, not just doing.

Coming Together Campfire circles, storytelling, music. The kind of connection that happens when phones don't exist.
Nestled in the Sahyadri hills, just 90 minutes from Pune. Rolling green fields. Open skies. The kind of quiet that lets children hear themselves think.
Activity camps focus on skills. Swimming, sports, crafts, obstacle courses. Fun? Yes.Transformative? Sometimes.
Roots & Wings focuses on confidence from the inside out. Every game has a purpose. Every evening has reflection built in. The adventure isn’t the point – it’s the vehicle.
Practical confidence rituals, creative keepsakes, and emotional tools they carry home.
A beautifully designed, age-appropriate workbook your child creates during the retreat. Not homework but its a discovery.
Inside:
● "My Body Map" — Where do I feel happy? Nervous? Angry?
● "Feelings Wheel" — Words for emotions beyond "good" and "bad"
● Movement practices — Simple exercises for when things feel hard
● Nature prompts — Activities they can do in any outdoor space
● Personal reflections — Their own words, drawings, discoveries
This journal is THEIRS. Private. Not for parents to read unless they choose to share.
A pocket-sized set of illustrated cards featuring:
● 10 body-based confidence practices
● 10 nature-connection activities
● 10 emotion-regulation tools
● 10 "I can" affirmations they helped create
These cards travel with your child—in their backpack, on their bedside table. When they need support, they have it.
Everything they create during the retreat comes home:
● Paintings, drawings, sculptures
● Nature collages
● Clay creations
● Written stories
Not for display. Not for evaluation. Just for keeping.
A downloadable audio series (sent post-retreat) with:
● 5-minute guided movement practices
● 3-minute body scan meditations for kids
● Nature soundscapes from Kamshet
● Preeti's voice guiding practices they learned
Your child can revisit these anytime before school, after a tough day, before bed
— Let’s talk about whether this is the right fit…
Reflections from children, teens, and parents who experienced
emotional safety, growth, and connection.
Three weeks after the retreat, my daughter said something that stopped me: 'I used to think I wasn't good enough. Now I know I just needed to believe in myself.'
My son has always been the 'quiet one.' After BECOMING, he came home and actually talked to us. Not about the activities—about himself, his fears, his dreams.
I was skeptical—another expensive camp? But this was different. The facilitators genuinely cared about my child. She's been more confident, more expressive, more herself.
What I loved most was the parent guidance after. They didn't just 'fix' my child and send him back. They helped me understand how to continue what they started.
Before: "I can't do it." "I'm not good at this." Won't even start.
After: "Let me try." "Can you show me?" Takes the first step
Before: Meltdowns. Shutdowns. "I don't know."
After: "I feel frustrated." "I'm nervous." "I need some space."
Before: "She's better than me." Constantly watching others.
After: "I like what I made." Focused on their own experience.
Before: Screen-first. Nature feels boring.
After: Asks to go outside. Creates nature-based play
Before: No strategies for hard moments.
After: Pulls out the journal. Uses the card deck. Does the breathing they learned.
— “My daughter came back different. Calmer. More confident. She stopped asking me ‘Am I good at this?’ and started saying ‘I like doing this.’ That’s huge.” — Parent, Mumbai

Preeti Toraskar Founder, Young SoulTales
Movement therapist-in-training. Spatial designer for 18 years. Mother of a teenage daughter who inspired all of this.
Preeti is completing her Master’s in Expressive Movement Therapy (graduating June 2026), with specialized training under Dr. Daniel Siegel – the neuroscientist behind “The Whole-Brain Child.”
She designed Roots & Wings because she saw what was missing – not just for other people’s children, but for her own daughter when she was younger. A place where kids could be curious, messy, and free. Without being measured. Without being fixed.
She’s warm but doesn’t try to be their friend. She holds space. She plays. She lets the hills and the campfires do most of the teaching.
