Young Soul Tales

Building the Future of Emotional Education

Young SoulTales exists to make emotional literacy as fundamental as reading and writing
accessible, research-backed, and deeply transformative.

OUR VISION

Where We're Going We envision a future where:

Every Child In India has access to spaces where they can learn emotional literacy – not as a luxury, but as a fundamental right.

Emotional Education is valued as highly as academic achievement – where understanding oneself is recognized as essential to living well.

Parents and Educators have the tools and frameworks to support children’s emotional development, without waiting for crisis or breakdown.

Nature becomes a co-facilitator, where children reconnect with the natural world as part of their developmental journey.

We’re not building therapy programs. We’re not creating entertainment camps. We’re building the missing education system.

OUR MISSION

What We Do Now

Young SoulTales creates residential nature retreats and parent education programs that teach emotional literacy through developmental psychology, expressive movement, and body-based practices.

Running Residential Retreats

Multi-day immersive programs (Roots & Wings for ages 6-12, BECOMING for ages 13-19) where children build emotional foundations away from daily distractions.

Educating Parents

Research-backed workshops teaching developmental frameworks (Erikson's stages), brain science (Siegel's work), and trauma-informed communication.

Creating Safe Spaces

Environments where children can explore identity, express emotions, and build authentic relationships without judgment or performance pressure.

Grounding in Research

Every program is built on developmental psychology, neuroscience, and trauma-informed practices and not on trends or commercial gimmicks.

Keeping It Accessible

Expanding programs across India, training facilitators, and building a sustainable model that doesn't rely on luxury pricing.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Measuring What Matters

For us, success isn’t about numbers reached or revenue targets. It’s about the quiet moments no one sees:

What success looks like
  • Name what they're feeling without shame "I'm scared" instead of "I'm fine".
  • Ask for what they need without fear knowing their voice matters.
  • Navigate conflict without shutting down staying present even when it's hard.
  • Know themselves beneath the roles and expectations the student, the athlete, the good child.
  • Understand their child's developmental stage - and stop comparing their 9-year-old to their friend's 9-year-old.
  • Respond to big emotions with curiosity instead of panic - "Tell me more" instead of "Stop crying"
  • Create home environments that honor feelings - where anger isn't bad, sadness isn't
    weakness
  • Feel confident in their parenting journey - trusting their instincts, not just expert
    opinions
  • Emotional literacy is normalized, not stigmatized - where therapy isn't a last resort
  • Seeking support is seen as strength, not weakness - courage, not failure
  • Children's inner lives are valued as much as their report cards
  • Mental health is addressed proactively, before crisis - prevention, not reaction

This is the world we’re building. One retreat, one family, one brave question at a time.

JOIN US

Be Part of This Movement

This isn’t just our vision – it’s a collective awakening. Every parent who chooses emotional literacy over academic pressure, every child who learns to name their feelings, every educator who creates space for authentic connection – they’re all building this future together.

For Parents

Send them to a retreat. Attend a workshop yourself. Every participant creates ripples beyond themselves - children return home changed, and families begin conversations.

For Professionals

Are you an educator, counselor, or facilitator who shares this philosophy? We're building a community of trained practitioners who believe children deserve spaces for emotional exploration.

For Everyone

Talk about emotional literacy in your circles. Normalize conversations about feelings. Share our programs with families who might be searching for this without knowing it exists.
