BECOMING: The Identity Retreat

This May, 25 teenagers will trek through ancient forests, camp beside a high-altitude lake,
create around bonfires, and return home with stories they’ll tell for years.

BECOMING isn’t conventional summer camp. It’s a week where your teen gets to be a
teenager, a curious, adventurous, reflective, without the pressure to perform

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Not Just Another
Summer Camp

Adventure camps focus on activities. Rock climbing, rafting, obstacle courses. Fun? Yes. Life-changing? Sometimes

BECOMING focuses on meaning. Every trek has a purpose. Every evening has reflection built in. The adventure isn’t the point – it’s the vehicle.

Your teen won't just come home tired and happy

  • A journal they actually want to write in
  • A manifesto they wrote about who they’re becoming
  • A letter from themselves arriving in 6 months
  • Stories that matter
  • Friends who get it

The Takeaways

WHAT THEY LEAVE WITH

Practical confidence rituals, creative keepsakes, and emotional tools they carry home.

What success looks like

A beautifully designed guided journal and not just blank pages, but prompts and exercises they'll actually love to use. Continues the work long after they're home.

Their Personal Manifesto Written on the final night under Himalayan stars. A declaration of who they're choosing to become. They speak it aloud. They keep it forever.

A Letter to Their Future Self Written on the last day. Mailed by us 6 months later. A message from who they were at this moment - arriving exactly when they need it.

Something They Created A body map, a group song, a piece of art. Proof that they have an inner world worth expressing.

A Follow-Up Call One month after the retreat, a group call to reconnect, process, and support the transition home.

Testimonials

From Parents Who Have Sent Their Children

Reflections from children, teens, and parents who experienced
emotional safety, growth, and connection.

Three weeks after the retreat, my daughter said something that stopped me: 'I used to think I wasn't good enough. Now I know I just needed to believe in myself.'

Anita Sharma Parent of Roots & Wings Participant

My son has always been the 'quiet one.' After BECOMING, he came home and actually talked to us. Not about the activities—about himself, his fears, his dreams.

Rohan Mehta Parent of Becoming Participant

I was skeptical—another expensive camp? But this was different. The facilitators genuinely cared about my child. She's been more confident, more expressive, more herself.

Neha Kapoor Parent of Roots & Wings Participant

What I loved most was the parent guidance after. They didn't just 'fix' my child and send him back. They helped me understand how to continue what they started.

WHO'S LEADING THIS

Meet Preeti

Preeti | Founder, Young SoulTales

Completing her Master’s in Expressive Movement Therapy (July 2026). Training under Dr. Daniel Siegel – the neuroscientist behind “The Whole-Brain Child.” Mother to a 14-year-old.  Founder of Young SoulTales.

Preeti designed BECOMING because she saw what was missing – not just for other people’s kids, but for her own daughter. A space where teenagers can be curious, adventurous, and reflective. Without the pressure. Without being treated like a problem to solve.

She’s warm but doesn’t try to be their friend. She holds space. She asks good questions. She lets the mountains do most of the teaching.

FAQ's

What Parents Ask

Most camps focus on activities and skill-building. BECOMING integrates adventure with reflection - every experience is designed to help teens process and grow, not just "have fun." The fun is definitely there. But there's more underneath.

Mild hesitation is normal and usually dissolves by Day 2. But if they're actively resistant, forcing them won't help. A discovery call can help you figure out if it's nerves (workable) or genuine disinterest (not the right fit).

They can bring it. But once we reach the camp site we keep them safe with us because there are better things to do. This is also an opportunity for Digital Detox and many teens nowadays are consciously choosing it too

Yes. All treks are guided by experienced local guides. The Serolsar Lake trek is rated easy-to-moderate. Medical support and first-aid are available throughout. Detailed safety protocols shared upon registration.

This is actually a great first experience - structured, supported, and designed for exactly this kind of growth. Many of our participants are first-timers.

All meals included. The hostel serves delicious Himachali and multi-cuisine food. Vegetarian, vegan, and common dietary restrictions accommodated - just tell us during registration.
